| About I love trying out new things, especially when it comes to internet technology. I never really kept a journal, but it's something that I've always wanted to do. Now, everybody will get a chance to look inside my twisted, and somewhat-warped mind.
I've also subscribed to Audio Blog, so a few times a week, I'll leave actual voice blogs. Very cool!XML Newsfeed Previous Posts

How to Program Your EEPROM on Your Sony QuadraStation 2.4 Handsets Since this information is totally NONEXISTENT on the internet, I figure I'd post it here so it does EXIST on the internet. I hope this info gets indexed. Sony Service Centers will probably not be too happy, since they charge $90 per phone to do this. So, if you are having problems registering your Sony QuadStation 2.4 handhelds to your Sony QuadStation 2.4 base, here's how to reprogram them: NOTE: I am not responsible if you mess it up! 1. Place a battery in the handset and plug power into base. No phone line connected at this time. 2. Place handset in TEST mode - press 2, 6, and Erase at the same time. You will hear ringing and the display will read JK 0425to or something similar. 3. Press 7. You will see TESTB and an 8 digit number. This number should match the number on the back of your base phone. IF NOT... Enter the correct number and press the # key. The phone will beep and you will see the new number. If it is already correct when you start, re-enter it anyway. You have now told the handset who "mother" is and written it to 004 of the EEPROM. 4. Press off key on handset - display will say JK 0425to 5. Press 5 - display will say EEPROM ADRS = Read Dt= Write Dt= 6. You will now write to EEPROM address 0D8 which holds the handset number. On the handset press 0, EZ Access (which is D), 8 7. Then press the # (which is like the enter key) and the display will read EEPROM ADRES=0D8 and the 8 digit number 8. You will enter the new number according to the following key XX YY ZZ PGM # where: XX is handset number (01, 02, 03, 04) YY is total number of handsets that will be programmed in the system (01, 02, 03, 04) ZZ is always 00 for the 2720 PGM is the PGM key on the phone and adds a checksum # is the # key and is like enter 9. Unplug battery to take phone out of test mode. 10. Do for all handsets. posted by Dino at 6:22 PM (permanent link) |
